QotD: My Vox Name

How did you pick your Vox name? Does it mean something?

I used the nickname I've been using for 12-13 years.  Xantus.  I came up with it waaaay back before I was on the internet and frequented BBSs.  In 1993, a game called Companions of Xanth was released.  The game takes place in the world of Xanth.  I liked the name Xanth and came up with xantus from that.

A side note.. My first email address on the internet was xantus@nameless.com back in 93 or 94.  It was on an internet connected bbs (MajorBBS), called "Nameless One!".  Andy Scollard ran it from 1992-1995 in the Seattle / Tacoma area.   Ahh, those were the days.

I received an email from Andy two weeks after I made this post.  I didn't find the email in my hotmail inbox until now...a few months later.
